William Merritt Centre Leeds | Try A Stairlift Before You Buy

About the centre: The William Merritt Centre is located at Aire House, 100 Town Street, Rodley, Leeds, LS13 1HP. The centre contains all types of mobility equipment to try for all practical aspects of daily living for disabled people of all ages, their carers, professionals and older people. Visits to the centre are free but by appointment, tel 0113 350 8989. Equipment displayed include Kitchen equipment, High seat chairs, Riser recliners, Stairlifts and through floor lift, Bath lifts, Bath boards and seats, Bath steps and rails, Toilet and continence aids, Hoists and moving and handling equipment, Beds, Manual wheelchairs, Powered wheelchairs. Mobility scooters, Pressure relief and Wheeled walkers.

Currently you can try the following straight stairlifts: Stannah Stairlift, Minivator Stairlift and a Thyssen Stairlift. For curved staircases, you can try out a Stannah Curved Stairlift.
As well as being able to try out the stairlifts for practicality and adaptability, you'll also be provided with helpful information from the Occupational Therapists at the centre. On my visit, Rachel was the Occupational Therapist on hand and she was very helpful and informative.
