Curved stairlift installation In Wythenshawe, Manchester

Another successful curved stairlift installation completed by our stairlift engineers.

The installation was carried out in Wythenshawe, Manchester. The stairlift installed on this staircase is a fully reconditioned Acorn 180 Curved Stairlift with beige upholstery.

Installation of the track was on the left hand side of the staircase. The track required a 90° bend to negotiate the square landing leading upstairs. The track ended on the top step and the stairlift carriage was fitted with a swivel seat that rotated 90° to face the landing. A powered hinge was fitted at the bottom due to limited parking space. By moving the stairlift up the stairs, the track folds out of the way leaving full access to the bottom area. Installation took around 4 hours with minimum disruption to the staircase.
