What happens if something gets in the way of the stairlift?
| All modern day stairlifts come fitted with various built-in safety features including pressure sensitive sensors that will detect obstructions on the staircase. The sensors are fitted along all possible contact points around the carriage and footplate. |

The sensors will automatically stop the stairlift if an obstruction is detected such as pet, walkng stick, washing etc. Once stopped the obstruction can be safely removed and you can continue your journey. |
