Our Coronavirus Policy

We know how important the installation of a stairlift is and that people looking in to this may be concerned about the situation regarding Coronavirus and how it will effect the process of having a stairlift installed.

We would like to reassure all that we are taking COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and at this time, the health, safety and well being of our customers, potential customers and everyone who works for and with Unicorn Stairlifts Ltd is paramount.

We understand that the people we may visit could potentially be vulnerable in the current climate, so we would like to reassure you of the precautionary steps and measures we are taking to minimise any risk:

All (Office and workshop staff and engineers):

• We are following the latest NHS, WHO and Government guidelines daily

• All staff are instructed to wash hands thoroughly before entering and leaving work

• Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes at all work stations

• Disposable gloves worn when preparing equipment at our premises

• 2 metre social distancing in the workplace when possible

• Wiping down any surfaces with anti-bacterial spray, that may come into contact with ourselves and others daily

• Sterilise and deep clean of all equipment (stairlifts, parts etc) pre-install

Surveyors (home visits):

• Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes available in all company vehicles which will be used before entering properties

• Our surveyors wherever possible, will wash their hands during and after the visit

• Our surveyors will maintain 2 metre social distancing and avoid close contact, for example shaking hands

• Disposable gloves worn on home visits

• Disposable masks will be worn

• No signatures required on paperwork

Service and installation engineers (home visits):

• Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes available in all company vans which will be used before entering properties

• Our engineers wherever possible, will wash their hands during and after the visit

• Engineers will maintain 2 metre social distancing and avoid close contact.

• Disposable gloves worn on home visits

• Disposable masks will be worn

• Installed equipment will be once again cleaned and wiped with anti-bacterial products

• No signatures required on paperwork
