The Otolift Modul-Air stairlift is specifically designed to accommodate a variety of curved staircases including ones that traditional curved stairlifts can't do. This is because the Otolift Modul-Air features the smallest diameter rail currently available and the chair is fitted with reverse drive technology, so it can travel partly or even entirely backwards. These two exclusive features means the Otolift rail can fit in to very tight areas and the chair can traverse past difficult or narrow parts of the staircase by rotating the chair into a backwards position - it will fit between sections as narrow as 640 mm in width.
The Otolift Modul-Air is also highly customisable and is available with an extensive range of additional options to ensure you get a lift tailored to your personal needs.

Thinnest rail: The slimline but robust tubular rail measures at just 60 mm in diameter (smallest currently available) and can be bespoke to any curved staircase type particularly narrow staircases and ones with little parking space. Installation of the rail can be on either side of the staircase and it can run incredibly close to the edge of the stairs so that space is maximised for the stairlift to travel. It also means plenty of space is left for others in the household to pass the stairlift when required.
No more hinges: Do you have limited space, a door or hallway at the bottom of the stairs but no room for a stairlift to park without it becoming an obstruction? The Otolift rail can overcome this without the need for an hinged track which would usually be used in these situations. This is thanks to the highly customisable tubular rail which can be designed to feature a special drop-nose allowing the rail to start in very tight spaces including 1st step start if required.
Versatile solution: The Otolift stairlift can help anyone overcome complicated or limited staircases, especially those that are far too narrow for standard mobility solutions or those with irregular dimensions. The rail can be designed and built to any number of different staircase configurations including: internal, external, 90° bends, 180° turns, multiple bends, fan shaped stairs, square landings, 180° wrap round starts plus many more. Also because the stairlift features reverse drive technology, the seating position can be adjusted to prevent you from hitting your knees when arriving at tight or narrow sections of the staircase.
Fast and neat installation: The installation of the Otolift is carried out by experienced technicians in a clean and tidy manner. The slimline tubular rail is fitted directly to the stair treads (not the wall) meaning no damage or unsightly structural work is required to your property. The complete installation usually takes 3 hours and is followed by a full explanation on how the stairlift works. Once complete your stairlift is ready to use straight away.

Bespoke Rail
The discrete and unintrusive tubular rail can be designed to fit any type of staircase that requires a bend or curve. This particular rail is slimline so is ideal for very narrow staircases and tight spaces.
Thinnest Diameter
The Modul-Air rail features a unique and exclusive design which is currently the thinnest single rail system in the world measuring at only 6cm in diameter.
Simple Controls
Operating the controls is simple, hold in the direction of travel and the stairlift will move quietly and smoothly. It will then stop automatically at the end of the journey.
Wireless Remotes
The Otolift Modul-Air also comes with 2 x wireless remote controls which can be used if required. You can call and send the stairlift up and down the staircase - handy for two or more users.
Comfortable Seating
The Otolift features accommodating seating position to suit a number of different users. The upholstery seat and backing is fully padded making sure your ride along the stairs is comfortable at all times.
Colour Options
The Otolift can be personalised to suit your taste. Both the rail and upholstery is available in various colours. Materials including fabric, leather and synthetic leather can also selected for the upholstery.
Floor Attachment
The feet of the bespoke rail attach directly to the stair treads and are usually placed every 2-3 steps. Installation is neat and tidy with minimum disruption to the staircase.
Foldable Design
The Otolift Modul-Air can be neatly tucked away thanks to the foldable aspects of the design. The arms, seat and footrest can be folded upwards effortlessly when required.
Tight spaces
The compact but robust tubular rail measures at just 60 mm in diameter so is ideal to fit in to narrow spaces. This can be especially handy at the bottom of staircases if space is limited.
1st Step Start
If no space is available at the bottom due to a door or hallway then we can add a 1st step start to the rail which allows the Otolift chair to park without the need for a traditional hinged track system.
Space available
The Otolift can easily be passed when folded upwards. This is due to the compact design which leaves plently of available space for other users of the stairs.
Swivel Seat
The swivel seat enables easy access to the landing area. Once swivelled, the seat locks in place allowing you to get out of the chair securely. Powered swivel seat can also be added to this model if required.
Safety Belt
The safety belt can be used for extra security along the staircase. After use it neatly retracts away. The seat belt is fully adjustable to suit various users.
Safety Sensors
Safety sensors are located in various potential contact points around the stairlift including the footplate. These sensors stop the stairlift instantly if they are activated by an obstruction.
